How To Live in Europe WITHOUT a Residency Visa!

NYC crowns: $2750 each. I think a lot of people must have work insurance, but when you're paying out of pocket, like me, it's insane. When my parents were alive I'd visit them in Oregon for dental. My dentist in Redmond charged approx $1100 per crown. (2018 probably.) I will need a couple more soon, and am planning on doing the "half price dental" trip out to Oregon, or I'm going to visit a friend in Thailand and get it done there. $350? Maybe I'll go to Europe! I figure for the price of a crown in NYC, and can take a nice trip somewhere, enjoy myself, and get the dental done there.

An American as well, I spent the last year there and can say it is one of the sweetest places ever! Super safe as a single lady -- I felt totally comfy to go out day or night and not be pestered, or feel creepy vibes. Very honorable, humble society. Do know what a luxury that is? I was on the north coast and the focus was on families, irregardless of religion. One of the more tolerant places I have ever visited. The food is fresh and local, almost without pesticides. Yes, it is working its way up to a higher standard, yet you could not find a higher standard of trustworthy kindness. I am grateful to have wandered there, lured by the 12-month welcome mat for USA citizens: no visa required. Thank you!

I just had dental work done. Had a root canal, tooth broke off and will have a crown: $2906.00. A cleaning cost $139.00. I could have taken a vacation in Mexico and had dental work done. I live in central Georgia in a small town . When you shared your expense, it really frustrated me. I continue to question why am I putting up with the US and the cost of living and all other problems. So I imagine returning to Spain and being able to sit in a nice park vs cooped up in my house to avoid the heat and humidity of central GA. As I speak it is 100 degrees. Thanks for the push to make changes! Perhaps your video is the kick in the butt that I needed to make changes.

Thanks for sharing, very interesting figures. We also mostly stay out of larger cities. Not only due to costs, but also much easier for parking. Just look at the possibility for train connections. 2. If you book a week or even a month, you find better deals. Many B&B's are offering discounts for longer stays. A good example is in Italy Verde. It is in between Venice and Trieste, you stay at a lovely beach site and you have good connections to both cities and one week is not to long. Another tipp. In a lot of countries in europe people eat their main meal at Lunchtime. Many restaurants offer special lunch deals. Even here in Switzerland you can eat often for 20 Euros.

The cancelled NHR might come back. Two things that you missed. One, due to a couple of reasons, getting permission to move there is now really, really slow due to backups. Second, it's expensive and not always easy to find a place to rent almost anywhere in a decent town. If you want a vehicle and are willing to live in the countryside, it's really inexpensive but then you don't have easy access to services and kind of alone. I've even found places in France (obviously not Paris) at about half the price than in the desirable towns of Portugal!

Been watching your channel for years now. I always enjoy them ... and your travels. I think that many Americans ... dissatisfied with life in the US, take a lot we have for granted. I've traveled a lot in the past, got a job offer in the Land Down Under, been to Mexico multiple times, BUT, I've seen more than enough to convince me to never move there. A fun place to visit ... warm and friendly people .... as was your observation in Ecuador, but making any of those places "home"? No thank you. I love Italy ... the land of my ancestors ... on both sides. I would really love to spend the rest of my life there, BUT, I wonder how much I would be giving up in the US for a "better life" in Italy.

I pay $800 a month in lodging (including internet and electric) for my large 1br apt in a small city (50k residents) in a US state where the climate is temperate. I'm 20-40 minutes away from various minor cities and 1 hr away from a major city with an international airport. Of course if i lived with a significant other, thatd be cut in half. So I dont see the advantage of this lifestyle or moving abroad for someone in my situation.
